HISTORY

Belmont Properties is a real estate company that specializes in the development, marketing and management of residential and commercial properties. 

Focusing on the renovation of older and mismanaged properties, Belmont Properties has gained its reputation as a respected re-developer of older, urban properties.  Since its founding in 1996, Belmont Properties has renovated or built over 300 residential units.

MISSION

Belmont Properties was founded to rehab older, urban, apartment buildings into attractive and affordable housing.

We generally target older buildings that were the architectural apex of their time, but have been mismanaged for decades.  These buildings are beautifully designed and solidly built, but in need of so much deferred maintenance that their value is wildly disputed.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Brian Kiner is the Managing Partner of Belmont Properties, Inc and is in charge of the Property Management Division.  After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Business Management & Marketing, Brian completed M&T Bank's Management Training Program and was employed as a Small Business Lender and a Retail Branch Manager.

In 1994, he returned to Rochester and joined his family's wholesale plumbing business.  Two years later, the company was sold to its largest competitor and Brian began his career in real estate.

Jackie Bernstein is the Office and Leasing Manager at Belmont Properties.  A graduate of SUNY Fredonia, Jackie is responsible for the rentals of all unfurnished and furnished apartments.

Stephen Kiner is a Partner at Belmont Properties and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in New York and Arizona.  After graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in Business, Stephen returned to work for the family business and the company that eventually acquired it.

In 1998, Stephen relocated to Phoenix and began to develop commercial and residential real estate in Arizona, Indiana, Ohio and North Carolina.  In 2007, Stephen joined Belmont Properties and is responsible for its Development and Construction Divisions.
